“Fair enough. I’ll lay my cards on the table.” Andi tilted up her chin. “And maybe you will, too.”

            Sven raised a brow so high at that comment she almost laughed out loud.

            “Really? You’re trying to interview me? Now? After the stunt you’ve pulled?”

            She shrugged. “Why not? You said it yourself. We’re stuck here. Might as well spill our guts, right?”

            He gave her a bone-chilling smile that froze her on the spot. “Oh honey, I don’t think you can handle the truth.”

            “Who? Me and Tom Cruise? Sure we can. I’m already expecting the worst. Child labor. Breaking EPA regulations. Money laundering. You have secrets. I expose secrets. And I wasn’t kidding about the ‘pit bull’ nickname either.”

            Sven shook his head and sat down across from her. “Jesus. You are ballsy. You’re one step away from jail time and you’re still giving me crap. Un-frickin’-believable.” He rubbed his beard. “And wrong. Totally. Utterly. Wrong. You are so far off the mark, I don’t even know what to say. Is that why you’ve been so hot-to-trot about getting this story? You think Klaus Enterprises is covering up some sort of criminal activity?”

            And then Sven Klaus did something completely unexpected.

            He laughed.

UPDATES

1. First update: I am in the midst of getting my rights back for SWEET MAGIK, the second book of the Klaus Brothers Series. I will eventually be editing and self-publishing this novel, but it won't happen until Christmas 2014. It will take up to four months for all of the digital and print books to be removed from other bookstores.

So, NO NEW KLAUS BROTHERS this Christmas!

(Penny ducks rotten tomatoes).

I have already started SWEET ADVENTURE (#3 of the Klaus Brothers Series), but I won't publish until the whole series has reverted back to me. It's looking good for 2014!

HOWEVER, I am working on another project which I'm hoping will be published either late fall or early winter. It's called APPLES SHOULD BE RED, aka my "geriatric love story." So far, my critique partners are digging it, so I hope all of my readers will enjoy this one, too. It is definitely outside of the box of the regular romance novel, but it is still a love story, and has a happy ending.

Please don't throw rotten tomatoes at me! Or gingerbread snaps!

2. I am super excited to be part of the first Local Independent Author Evening at Wellesley Books, in Wellesley, MA. It's taking place on Thursday Oct 3, from 6-8 PM. I'll be there with copies of LUCY THE WONDER WEENIE, SWEET INSPIRATION, and of course LUMBERJACK IN LOVE. Stop by for some refreshments, chat with some local authors, and support the indie movement!

Inspirational Announcement

SWEET INSPIRATION, Klaus Brothers Series #1, will no longer be available for purchase from The Wild Rose Press. As of this week, the rights have reverted back to moi.

It will be re-released this holiday season, with a new cover. Good-bye half-naked chef dude! Good-bye oven mitt! Good-bye castle in the mist! Good-bye cookies!

SWEET MAGIK (book #2 of the Klaus Brothers Series) is still available for purchase.

Thanks to some totally not-that-subtle nudging from Julia Rachel Barrett, I have decided to work on the rest of the series and get it ready for publication for Christmas 2013. I'm leaning towards 2 or 3 novellas....Sweet Adventure is already started. And Sweet Destiny will be the final installment. And maybe Gregor will get his own novella, too. Haven't decided that yet.

All will be available in print and ebook. And possibly packaged together as a holiday series.

So, it looks like I'm headed back to the North Pole. Again. I sort of missed those lunk-headed Klaus boys.
