In spite of an oddball start to her professional career (advanced ivy league degree in turfgrass science, biology teacher who used Arnold Schwarzenegger movies as teaching aids, and highly competitive lacrosse coach who often yelled “Jiminy Cricket!” during games), Penelope finally settled into an acceptable field. Romance. Now she reads it. Writes it. Reviews it.
Penny's favorite things include plants, weenie dogs, and beards (not necessarily in that order). She welcomes comments and suggestions, which should be addressed t0 penelope.romance@gmail.com.
Happy romance reading!

YESSSS!!! The BEARD power!
*sigh* I am not really a bread kind of gal, but I felt 'stirrings' when I saw this one pop up on the screen. =)
That type of primitive beard has power, baby! It roars...."I am man!"
I've got a new book with a bearded hero for you. Last week I read Yours, Mine and Howls by Kinsey Holley and was surprised (and pleased) that the werewolf hero had a nice trimmed beard. There's even a scene with him shaving. I really enjoyed the book - I'm a sucker for growly werewolf types LOL. Plus there were funny bits and good dialog also.
I must say Christian looks much better with the beard than without.
Yay, Jen!!!!! A new beardy hero! Thanks so much for the recommendation. I'm gonna go add it onto my TBR list at Goodreads. I need to start a "bearded hero" shelf there...hee hee!
Ha! I knew you were going to post about this. :)
Ha ha haa....you knew I couldn't help myself. It's a sickness, really. hee hee......
It seemed like he forgot her name, his wife I mean! It was a little weird, but really the Oscars are a bit dull! They need to be first or keep cutting the dull bits!
Hi Nancy! I heard that, too, about him forgetting her name. But he still said some nice things. I would probably forget my own name if I won an Oscar!
He's so sexy.
It is odd that it's a totally different color from his head though.
My husband grows a seriously fierce beard :)
Hi Juju! Oh, a fierce beard! What a great expression....I am totally going to use that in the book I'm writing right now....the hero has a fierce beard!
I knew it! I knew you'd post this today! When I saw him last night, all I could think about was - Penny is going to post a picture of him! LOL!
Julia...you knew I couldn't resist this one. I sort of feel like he grew this beauty just for my pleasure. So thoughtful of him! :^)
LMAO!! I said bread...
Maybe there are gluten-free beards...hee hee!
I think I would have made a fool of myself as well or passed out!
Sigh. He's just so gorgeous! I've never been a beard(or bread, haha)kind of gal either, but for him, I could change my mind real fast ;)
Hi Cassidy! Stop by every Friday for my Beard of the Day post and I will try to bring you over to the dark side! :^)
