Jake Gyllenhaal strikes me as a very wholesome guy. He is usually very well groomed, and even with a beard he looks like he's about 12 years old, a Boy Scout, and ready to help little old ladies cross the street. But Holy Moly, he sure looks different in the Prince Of Persia film. Wild, sexy, scruffy, and the bod isn't looking too shabby either. (For your viewing pleasure, see photo below....)
The word "beefcake" comes to mind, which is not a term I would normally associate with Jakey. Who knew?

Wow, he does look good here but I'm with you, he does have this boy scout look about him. Plus, I just can't not think about him in "Brokeback Mountain" which I loved, but I can't shake that persona, I always think of him as that character.
Julie - I just finished reading Brokeback Mountain - such a short work - so beautiful and poignant and Ang Lee captured the story perfectly! Perfectly! Jack Twist.
I like Jake, but I'm not sold on bearded Jake. He has amazing eyes, don't you think?

Julie and Julia (hee hee!)....I have not watched nor read Brokeback Mountain. In fact, I don't know if I've actually seen any movie with Jakey in it. Hmmm....I'll have to think about that. I can't believe you girls are checking out his eyes instead of his rockin' beard! Oy!

You have a great taste in beards it seems. Growing up I swore to never marry a man with a beard, until I met one I loved. Now I'm far more interested in those who can wear them well. I'd give Jake's a thumbs up as too!
